Jason Graham, an artist and good friend from Sarah Lawrence, was working the fair with Fifty One Fine Art, and happily invited me to come check it o [...]

Michael Schmitt is at it again with the another one of San Diego's best poetry events. He makes reading slots open to the first handful of people that contact him before the featured reader, and as I understand there are still a few places left.

FEDERICO GUZMÁN, "Hombre = árbol" ("Homme = arbre"), 2009
Le CENTQUATRE, billed simply as an "Artistic Establishment of the City of Paris", is a large warehouse-turned-arts-space in the 19th arrondissement. I can't help but reproduce the history of the building as found on the 104.fr website:
After the Diocese constructed the building in 1873 [...]

Luckily, it was well worth it. I squeeze off three shots before being informed that photography is interdit in the special exhibitions, so [...]

Have you ever found yourself in a situation so surreal that your imagination was rendered unnecessary or useless? It's a novel experience that gives way to a sort of floating sensation. You absorb whats happening as you would a dream. I've had but a few such experiences over the last years, and none so sustained as my recent visit to Colo [...]
